George Ionita

George, who was working for the UN when he completed his first technical dive training with us, was later stationed in Thailand were he continued his training with Steve Burton. Recently George completed his Advanced and Explorer Trimix certifications with Mark Ellyatt in Dahab. (Here he rescued a convulsing diver and received commendations from DAN Europe.) He joined Mark on an expedition to the wreck of the Victoria off Lebanon last February. After being impressed with Mark's Pelagian rebreather he then convinced Mark to come to Dive Aqaba and run a course this spring. George is currently in Jordan and joins us for tec diving whenever he gets a chance.
