Traveling in Jordan - Places to visit

Is it safe to travel to Jordan?

Wadi Rum
Wadi Rum Our recommendation Bait Ali Camp
Wadi Rum covers a huge area and is just over an hour away from Aqaba. A fantastic way of enjoying this spectacular area is to enjoy the sunset then spend a night. The views of the night sky are spectacular as there is no light pollution. Make sure that you dont get a stiff neck stargazing! Enjoy the Bedouin hospitality and explore the desert the following day. more pics & info...

The treasury at Petra
Petra
The city of Petra is a "must" visit when you come to Jordan - it is unique! About 2 hours away from Aqaba. The famous colored sand bottles you see in Jordan are all made from the various colored sands you find in Petra. It takes more than one visit to see everything here, in fact you can explore for many days. There is also an animal sanctuary there for donkeys, horses and camels. more pics & info...

Dead Sea
The Dead Sea
The Dead Sea is the lowest place on earth and is also the saltiest body of water on the planet. Salts are washed down into the sea from the surrounding mountains, extracted and used for many purposes. You can visit the Dead Sea area and go for a "float" and visit the hot fresh water springs at Wadi Mujib. There is a health spa at the Dead Sea Movenpick hotel and many beauty treatments are possible.
Floating In The Dead Sea
Roman Ruins at Jerash
Jerash
The old Roman town of Jerash sits overlooking the modern town of Jerash - the contrast is startling. Spend a full day here to thoroughly appreciate the place and visit all areas. Traveling north from Amman it is a 1 hour drive. It has a Mediterranean type climate. The best time to visit is in the spring. There are many good restaurants in the area the bakeries around here make fantastic bread! more pics & info...
