Tec Trimix Instructor
Are you a PADI Tec Deep Instructor, and want to be able to offer the ultimate in open circuit technical diving to your tec divers?
Our Tec Trimix Instructor Trainer, Rod Abbotson, can provide you with rigorous training to finely tune your tec diving instructional skills, as well as convey to you the extra vigilence you need to look after students in the deepest diving environments.
Rod can pass on many extra useful tips from years of deep diving experience in the UK (Aquatic Club "H.M.S. Formidable " team) and Sardinia (Deep archeological team with Sassari University.)
Course duration 8-10 days depending on preparedness (Includes diver level course)
We can help you gain the extra experience and requirements to apply for Tec Trimix Instructor
- PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer
- PADI DSAT Tec Deep Instructor
- PADI DSAT Tec Trimix Diver or have a qualifying full trimix certification from another organisation
- 200 logged dives (20 technical decompression dives requiring at least one stage/deco cylinder, of these at least 10 must have been made deeper than 40m using trimix)
- Having assisted with one Tec Trimix course
- 350 logged dives (at least 50 stage deco dives deeper than 40 metres beyond those required for certification as a technical diver. At least 30 must be deeper than 40m using trimix as a bottom gas, with at least 10 of these deeper than 50m using trimix with less than 21 per cent oxygen.
- Have successfully completed the Tec Trimix Instructor Standards Exam and the Tec Trimix Instructor Theory and Practical Application Exam.
- Be 21 years old
