Stay longer, stay warmer!
TDI logo Rebreather Lab We can now offer courses on the Pelagian rebreather at any time throughout the year through TDI (Technical Diving International). This is a great opportunity to see if closed circuit rebreather diving is for you before making an expensive purchase. This course will introduce you to the Pelagian Diver Controlled Closed Circuit rebreather and teach you to dive the unit safely to a maximum depth of 30m using an air diluent. The unit is manufactured at Rebreather Lab in Thailand by Andy Fritz. Click on the logo above to check out his site and the technical details of the Pelagian rebreather. The unit was introduced to Jordan by TDI Technical Instructor Trainer Mark Ellyatt in 2008. Mark visits Aqaba for some fun tec diving and to teach further courses on the Pelagian rebreather up to depths of 100m.To start the basic course you need to be a Rescue Diver have logged 100 dives and be certified to use Nitrox. The course requires that you spend 420 minutes on the unit this means we will be doing the course of a 5 day period. Day one will be a dry day completing initial theory and building up the unit. The remaining days will be diving on the unit starting in shallow water and gradually building experience and depth up to 30m over 8 dives. Dive Mag (UK)review Sep 2009.
